Actions new 4 berth Iveco Cascade motorhome, showcased at the Motorhome Caravan and Outdoor Supershow (COVI) 2023

This month, the design team headed to the Motorhome Caravan & Outdoor Supershow (COVI) based in Auckland to showcase Actions' new 4-berth Iveco Cascade motorhome.

"We started the investigation by designing a prototype vehicle for the March COVI Show that elevates the current Iveco Cascade Mk ii from a rental vehicle to a retail vehicle, all within a $5k budget. 

Seeing customers give feedback and interact with this vehicle at the COVI show provided further valuable insights, which have been analysed and reflected upon to modify the design and validate the direction of a successful resolution for volume production." - Action Design Team.

The Covi release is inspired by the iconic features of South Canterbury, New Zealand. The textured floor reflects the tussock plains, while the seat upholstery and curtains draw inspiration from the slate grey rock formations found on the ridges of the alps. The pale brown tone of the woodgrain cabinetry is inspired by the soft colors of the tussock, which has been smoothed by the winds. Additionally, the white overheads symbolise the peaks of the Southern Alps, a stunning mountain range that is a prominent feature of the region's landscape.
